Amusing Annuals #3

It's been a while since I shared photos from my paternal grandmother's high school annuals, so as a means of dedication to this blog (and maybe a little bit of procrastination) I am here to show off the Harrisville High School yearbook of 1951, freshmen year for my gran, Ella. I hope you enjoy!

Amusing Annuals

Gather ‘round guys and gals,

Today is the introduction of my 5 part series of yearbooks from grandma Ella. I figured going in chronological order would be the best so here is 1948 when Ella was in 6th grade and her future husband (my grandad, Jim) was a high school senior! Yes, he was seven years older than she, but dont get too creeped out, they didnt know they would be married yet. In fact I even took a picture of his high school girlfriend, Faye, for you folks. Almost every trip to my grandparents’ house since I was a kid I would look through these and my dad’s yearbooks for kicks. I hope these entertain you at least a fraction as much as they do me.
Neat cover, dontcha think?

That's my grandpa in the center (because you couldn't figure out he isn't the lady or cartoon...)

Family Photos and the Birthday Suit.

Here are some pictures from the other side of my family and my outfit for today.
My other grandma, Ella when she was very young. She's 11 years younger than Grandma Ana, just for reference.

My pop when he was about 6 or 7 (1961). You can see where I get my sunny disposition.
Dad looking like an O.G. at 2 years old (1957).
Awkward early morning outfit picture. This would be my birthday suit. Because today is my birthday.

Happy day all!

More Vintage Family Photos

I found a few more old family pictures on my computer - they aren't as pretty, style-wise, as the last set I put up, but I thought I'd share them anyway.

Some distant male relative, looking like he feels pretty bad-ass in his uniform and sunglasses.

Sanchezin'

Gracie here. More family photos that just make me sad and jealous. But mostly sad.
Ana in an adorable hat I really wish she'd kept.
Ana in the 40s.
Ana again.

A Bit About Weddings

I love weddings. Or the idea of them at least. I actually have only been to one wedding in my life. I was 7 so I sort of hated it. Anyway, I now appreciate them because they are one of the few times large groups of people get together and have to dress nicely, and that makes me really happy. Also, there are some really pretty weddings so I am really excited to go to any weddings in the future (my cousin just got engaged so I will going to at least one soon).
Anywho, I was snooping about in my Grandma Ana's stuff and found her wedding album so I took some pictures of the photos. She was married in '52 I think... and must have gotten knocked up pretty quickly since my mom had two older brothers, and she was born in '55.
... anyway...
