That Fur

I love fur.

That is all I have to say, other than a quick "hello" and "goodbye", for I am a master of procrastination and need to actually get some homework done tonight....

So, HI!!!!
and here: the fur I love most right now.
A crappy attempt at coloring this photo. You can see the original version on this post.

This coat can also be seen worn by Ana
here.

and worn by me...  looking suuuuuper awkward.
Have a nice day,

Gracie

  2. Fur is so beautiful, but I'm so conflicted. I haven't considered the fur issue enough to feel confident justifying my choice to wear it. In the meantime, I'll wear faux...

This fur coat is GORGEOUS, though. You look divine!

  3. DAT HAT. Damn! Gorgeous <3

I love fur too, but it rarely gets cold enough here to wear a full coat so I only own stoles. Still love 'em though!

  4. I love fur! I have a jacket from the early 60s and a mink scarf. I guess a nice part of living in Wichita is that there are so many hunters here that no one objects to dead animals--I don't have to worry about PETA throwing paint on me. However, here pretty soon half the male population is going to be going absolutely everywhere in camo. I don't know how it came to be restaurant-appropriate...

Anyway, enough about my redneck town. Your jacket is gorgeous, I love your shoes and you do not look awkward!

  5. How neat to have an heirloom fur!! It's so elegant on both of you. I adore vintage furs as well; there's nothing so simultaneously glamorous and cozy!

Also, I can't wait to try my hand at your pincurl tutorial, as soon as the curl-killing humidity ceases up here; thanks for posting it!! It's great to have a tutorial with us thick-haired gals in mind :)

  6. Thanks ladies!
Honestly, the only problem I have with wearing real fur is when it smells gross (because it's been in storage too long) and when it starts to tear, because I panic that it's my fault (which it usually is...)
I am especially okay with old fur, because the critters are long gone and I do not equate wearing something old with supporting slaughter in the modern world. Maybe that's just me though. Also, you know, it's pretty... so call me shallow, but I want to wear things I like, and if that means a dozen squirrels, who would other wise be loitering in the park or nesting in my attic, get hacked... well I don't feel too badly. I know that must sound awful, but it's the way my mind works.

haahahah Lauren, your commentary about the camo-clad diners made me chuckle out loud.

No problem, Dakota. I hope it works out for you!
