Euphonic Earworms: Sailboat in the Sky

Wednesday I leave for England as I'll be studying there this semester, so I've been running around trying to get everything ready in time! Gracie left my house on Thursday, and since then I've only been on the internet to do school related things and do a few quick read-throughs of my blogger dashboard (I couldn't completely stay away!).

Anyway, here's an aviation-related-ish soundie from 1942 that I just love - super cheesy, but I couldn't care less! Knowing my luck, I'll be sat next to a 180-year-old fart machine the entire ride (as I was when I went to China), instead of honey-voiced Johnny Johnston, but one can dream, right?

  1. Oh I love this, so incredibly corny but so wonderful at the same time!

Best wishes for a nice trip (next to some dreamboat, not fart-machine). Can't wait to read about your semester in England, where will you be studying?

  2. I expect to hear lots and lots about your semester in England. I'm excited for you! Sounds like your airplane luck is like my treadmill-at-the-Y luck. Even though there are a dozen and I'm the only one on them, some stinking, gas-passing middle-aged man always loves to hop on the treadmill right next to mine. Here's hoping you have better luck!

  3. Thanks for the kind wishes, gals!

Ginger- I'll be in Oxford, at the school by the same name!

Lauren- Unfortunately my luck proved unchanged on the flight to Boston, where I've got a 5 hour layover.... this time it was an old-lady cough-machine, which is actually worse since I was holding my breath trying not to breathe in any airborne illnesses whilst trying not to seem rude... I'm trying to stay optimistic for the flight to England!
